Many of you might disagree with the first one on this list simply because many successful people out there can be absolute jerks; we all recognize it’s true. So not every successful entrepreneur will stay grounded, but I guess that all depends on your definition of success.
Most successful entrepreneurs will generally stay grounded and remember the real things and people essential to them. When you become amazingly successful, don’t forget the people that supported you through any hard times you may have had.
Driven by Passion
If I had a nickel for every time I’d mentioned the word passion… I’d be… well, capable of affording a Burger King, at least. Entrepreneurs have something deep within them that drives them. It’s a burning desire for what they’re doing and the most compelling reason they’ve been able to come so far in the world.
Did you not think everyone has become so successful at a skill or craft because they hated it? Whenever you feel you’re ready to embark on a new career in life, think to yourself; is it something you’re noticeably passionate about?
Always Planning Thoroughly
Planning is essential with any business venture you may undertake. It gives you a clear picture of what you’re going to do and how you will go about the joyous task at hand.

They’ve assessed all the risks, the advantages, and the disadvantages, and how the best way is to go about it, and now they’re ready to carry the task out friendly and simply with minimal complications.
They Don’t Give Themselves Excuses
Excuses, excuses. We’re all slaves to them at one factor or another in our lifetime. You don’t have time; you’re too tired; you think you can do it tomorrow, etc. Who are you looking to fool? People who have achieved success don’t give themselves excuses. “If it is essential to you, you’ll find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse.”
So in case you’re still making excuses to take the lazy way out for the day, then maybe it simply isn’t that essential to you, and your time is better spent doing something else. Keep on Moving Forward
As long as your move ahead every week, you should have no regrets. And don’t misunderstand when I say this because sometimes what’s transferring forward can be perceived by people as a failure. If you’re consistently improving yourself as a person weekly, you’re not losing your time. Keep it up!

High Levels of Confidence
High confidence is a given, really, right? Entrepreneurs with low self-confidence will struggle to believe in their thoughts and are more likely to have doubts. What doubt does is stop you from putting 100% into what you’re doing. You’ll start thinking that your time will be used more wisely towards something more accessible that you know will work.
To achieve success, you must have complete self-belief in what you’re doing and tell people this is the case instead of conveying your concept to them like it’s a question. Think of it like this; If you’re a salesperson and don’t trust your product, are the people you’re offering it to be convinced?
They Think Big, Do Small
The title’s slightly misleading; I get that. The thing is that successful entrepreneurs will have those great, potentially huge ideas within their minds, but they won’t get carried away with this. Instead, they will keep this massive idea in their mind and then set themselves up with many smaller goals that will make this idea a reality. You can’t do everything in one day; it’s simply impossible.
Things take time, so if you get carried away with building this massive dream of yours as fast as possible, your brain skips over the more minor things that can be needed to make the foundation for your goal.
